Welcome to my world!
I’m Charlotte McGregor, and Scotland holds a special place in my heart, even if I may occasionally make fun of the subtleties of tartan and the seemingly bottomless whisky casks. I’m particularly enchanted by the Highlands, which is why my stories are set in the quaint fictional village of Kirkby, nestled in the rugged landscape around the legendary Loch Ness.
With a population of 600 – most of them quite the characters! – Kirkby is an enchanting setting for adventure, and the possibility of true love is always just around the corner. If you like stories that make you laugh and (sometimes) cry and always end happily, you’ve come to the right place.
Now, let me tell you a little secret, just between us: I don’t actually live in my beloved Highlands but in a bustling city quite far away. My gorgeous pianist husband Ian and our slightly naughty but adorable Airedale Terrier Scotty keep me mostly grounded in the here and now, but my heart often travels to the Highlands and returns with the stories I share with you in my »Highland Happiness« series.
